UCAN faculty and associates direct a number of field projects in various parts of the world that provide opportunities for students to gain excavation, survey, and laboratory experience and for graduate students to embark on dissertation topics. Many graduate students also develop their own independent field projects, or work in collaboration with scholars from other universities or institutes; and UCAN faculty have extensive networks of contacts to facilitate these ventures. Graduate student projects also provide opportunities for undergraduates and others to gain experience.
