Shannon Dawdy has been leading field projects at multiple sites in the French Quarter of New Orleans for over two decades, exploring the history of the city through a combination of excavation, archival research, and ethnographic interviews. These sites include the House of the Rising Sun, the Ursuline Convent, Maginnis Cotton Mill, Madame John's Legacy, and St. Anthony's Garden.
