CAMEL - Center for Ancient Middle Eastern Landscapes

CAMEL, housed in the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (ISAC), is a center dedicated to the analysis of landscape phenomena throughout the Middle East. CAMEL has a staff of four scholars and several student research assistants. It has a computer laboratory equipped for advanced spatial analysis and 3D modeling, as well as a database of aerial photography, remote sensing, and topographic maps. CAMEL offers training in the use of GIS and supports graduate student research, publication, and presentations.
